The Division

VPK Group produces cardboard packaging and paper based on recycled fibres. This sustainable packaging is developed to measure for the customer. VPK Packaging is a separate business unit within VPK Group. This business unit specializes in processing paper into corrugated board packaging. The cardboard produced is punched, printed and folded into packaging by means of finishing machines.

Job description

Purpose of the function:

As a Production Supervisor, you are responsible for achieving production targets according to prescribed safety, quality and productivity standards and for the efficient deployment of production operators. You are employed in 2 shifts and report to the Production Manager.

FUNCTION

• Managing, motivating and coaching a team of about 30 operators who work in a 3-shift system;
• You are responsible for the distribution of tasks, monitoring and adjusting the operational activities;
• Respecting deadlines and targets while maintaining the qualitative objectives;
• You will implement and monitor the work and safety regulations;
• You ensure that all work is done in a safe, qualitative and correct manner and that it is done on time and correctly;
• Continuously looking for improvements and optimization of activities and processes;
• You actively support and follow up on Lean projects and the Lean work methodology on the floor;
• Integrating and guiding new employees towards independence and responsibility.

PROFILE

• You have a technical bachelor or master degree and have a first (managerial) experience OR you are equivalent by combining a technical education (minimum A2) with at least 5 years of managerial experience.
• You are a social and communicative person who can deal constructively with conflicts and who knows how to motivate and lead a team; As a Supervisor, you distinguish yourself by your drive, organizational skills, flexibility and attention to safety and quality. You are communicative and able to coach and motivate a team;
• You are a team player and can communicate clearly at all levels within the organization;
• You have a sound knowledge of MS Office.
