VPK opens a new factory in Poland and consolidates its position as market leader.

An investment on a grand scale

The official opening of the new VPK plant took place on June 17, 2021 in Brzeg. This is another investment step for VPK in Poland, and extremely important for the growing number of customers so far served by the plant in Radomsko. The total production and warehouse area is 22.000 square meters. The Managing Director of VPK in Poland, Jacek Kryszkiewicz commented on the expansion during the official opening: "The new plant allows us to increase the production capacity for our customers from Poland, and abroad by 60 million m2. The scale of the investment strengthens our business position and provides our customers with more modern and effective production capabilities."

Modern machinery park

The factory has been equipped with machines such as a Mithsubishi Evol, a Bobst 2.1 Mastercut and Masterflex. Additionally a waste collection line with transport to a waste paper baler, a palletiser, depalletiser, automatic strapping and foil wrapping machines, a fully automatic paint mixing plant, as well as an ecological sewage treatment plant have also been installed. The space is very modern, filled with energy-saving LED lighting, and above all meets the highest standards of employee safety, incl. fire safety with sprinkler system covering the entire surface.

"The newly launched production lines are fully automated. The transporting lines will deliver cardboard directly from the corrugator to processing machines, using the MINDA automated transport system, eliminating unnecessary internal transport with forklifts - which will increase work safety and optimize the flow of raw materials for the production of packaging. Thanks to this solution, we will reduce excessive storage," said Bartosz Nimsz, manager of the VPK plant in Brzeg.

Perfect location

The new VPK factory is located in the Special Economic Zone in Skarbimierz. This space is undoubtedly conducive to investments. Geographically, the company is finally present in the region, which contributes to shortening the distance to potential customers located in the south-west of Poland. There is also an opportunity to establish cooperation with companies from the Czech Republic and Germany. At the moment, 120 people work in Brzeg, VPK plans to employ an additional 60 and more as the machine park develops. The scale of the investment favors the perception of VPK as an attractive and trustworthy employer in the region, and an important business partner for current and future customers.
