VPK Packaging Belgium has taken a major step in its sustainable growth journey: a new 2.80m BHS corrugator has been successfully installed at the Erembodegem site. This investment not only represents a technological upgrade but also a clear promise to our customers: more capacity, better performance, and even stronger customer focus.
With over 90 years of experience, VPK Packaging continues to invest in the latest technologies. The new corrugator replaces the previous 2.50m machine and was installed in exactly the same location, with minimal disruption to production. Thanks to a well-thought-out plan, smart logistics, and the dedication of our employees, we were able to continue producing boxes — even during the seven-week conversion.
“This investment is not only a technical milestone but also proof of what internal collaboration can achieve.” — Tony Reunes, Operations Director Corrugated Board BE & NL
Our choice for a 2.80m wide machine aligns with our ambition for our site in Erembodegem: growing from 100 to 170 million m² of corrugated board.

Our employees played a crucial role in the success of this project. Their flexibility and commitment made it possible to keep production running during the conversion. Our external partners were also invaluable. Their expertise and involvement accelerated the installation and ensured a smooth start-up. Thanks to the modular setup and the flexibility of our contractors, the milestone was reached ahead of schedule.
Together with the earlier investment in the Bobst 4-color casemaker in Oudegem, VPK confirms its forward-looking ambition: continuing to invest in technology, sustainability, and customer value.
Our next step? Activating the dormant volume on the rotary die-cutter. By switching to three shifts, we aim to increase finishing capacity to 120 million m² — an important intermediate step toward our goal of 170 million m² for the Erembodegem site.
