Why a new website?

Stephanie: “The Content Management System needed an update. That was essential to improve performance and manageability. This technical necessity became a strategic opportunity to modernize both the structure and content.”

Nikolaas: “The previous site didn’t present a unified image of our company. This upgrade was the perfect chance to reinforce our visual identity, with more focus on user-friendliness and inspiring content.”

Did you have specific roles?

Stephanie: “We designed the new structure together and aligned it with various international stakeholders. Nikolaas focused on products and services, while I handled user experience and internal content. Cross-border teamwork!”

What’s been updated?

Nikolaas: “We moved from 9 separate country websites to one global site with language variants. Now we showcase our full offering in a uniform and recognizable way. Product presentation is much more visually appealing, and smart navigation helps users find what they’re looking for faster.”

Stephanie: “Even those who know nothing about packaging now quickly grasp what VPK Group does and what we can offer.”

“Even those unfamiliar with packaging now quickly understand what VPK Group does and what we can offer.”

What was the biggest challenge?

Nikolaas: “Creating a one-size-fits-all solution. We had many discussions with all countries to reach consensus on content and visuals.”

Stephanie: “For me, the deadline was the most intense. Content, visuals, and technology had to be ready at the same time. And we did it! Management gave us a lot of trust. This project shows that entrepreneurship at VPK is more than just a buzzword.”

What are you most proud of?

Nikolaas: “The simplicity of navigation and the professional look.”

Stephanie: “The project delivered not only a beautiful and future-proof website, but also smooth collaboration. We also considered environmental impact. By centralizing the separate country websites, we significantly reduce data traffic and storage needs. That means lower energy consumption and a smaller CO₂ footprint. The user experience was optimized too: fewer clicks, fewer layers. Content continues to grow—new languages, more customer cases, and current themes like ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Working at VPK’ receive ongoing attention.”
