Its journey in the UK and Ireland began 25 years ago with the acquisition of a modest packaging operation in August 2000.

Since then, VPK has steadily expanded its footprint through key milestones such as the development of the Desborough site to 120 mm2, the construction of greenfield plants in Selby and Wellington, and strategic joint ventures with Fencor and McLaren.

Today, VPK UK and Ireland operates as an integrated network of modern production facilities, supported by paper mills in Belgium and Normandy. This vertical integration enables the group to deliver a wide range of packaging solutions, with strong geographical coverage and multi-site delivery capabilities. Ongoing investments in people, systems, and technology ensure high levels of customer service.

Reaffirming its long-term vision, VPK has recently launched a new investment programme across its UK operations. Key developments include the installation of a high-quality Masterflex printer in Banbury and a 618 casemaker in Selby, alongside machine upgrades at other key sites.

These enhancements will boost production capacity, improve efficiency, and strengthen sustainability performance. They are part of VPK's recently launched Eight-Step Solution Cycle, which places innovation and continuous improvement at the core of its operations.
