VPK Group has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Zetacarton, an Italian corrugated cardboard company based nearby Como. With this new step, VPK Group is setting foot in Italy for the first time.

The industrial site in Alizay, acquired in June 2022, has been converted by VPK into a sustainable development hub for circular economy. The group invested 200 millioneuros in the site to convert the existing paper machine into a recycled paper production unit based on carbon-free energy. The site strengthens VPK's position in the French and European markets through higher vertical integration.

On Saturday 25 March, we had the enriching experience of hosting 18 TAJO young people at our site in Erembodegem, Belgium. During the month of March, the young people worked on the theme 'Safety'. They concluded this topic with a visit to our factory, where they learned about production safety at VPK through an interaction tour.

On 20 February 2023, Corex, part of VPK Group, announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire Arteche Paper, producer of coreboard, cores and edge protectors in the Iberian market. Corex confirmed today that the acquisition was successfully completed.

On Saturday 4 March, a group of Belgian colleagues gathered at the Gentbrugse Meersen to plant no less than 1,000 trees. 60 adults and 30 children took part in this family event.

The official opening of VPK Group's high-tech plant in Halden took place on 23 September 2022. The greenfield project is an important investment step for VPK in Norway, both locally for the region and internationally thanks to its unique position in the Nordic market.
