VPK Group announces the acquisition of Open Imballaggi, a well-established sheet plant specializing in corrugated cardboard packaging, located near Bergamo in Lombardy.

VPK UK and Ireland, part of VPK Group, is officially launching its new Eight-Step Solution Cycle, an innovative approach designed to help businesses enhance packaging at every stage, from concept to continuous improvement.

At VPK Group, we are constantly working on optimising our production to support our customers even better. In 2025, two major investments are planned for our Belgian corrugated board plants. These projects increase our capacity and efficiency so that we can respond to our customers' needs faster and more flexibly.

In an exciting milestone for our sustainability journey, VPK Group officially launched its Product Carbon Footprint Calculator on 12th December during an exclusive customer event at our headquarters in Belgium. This innovative tool underlines our commitment to transparency and collaboration, equipping our customers with the insights they need to make climate responsible packaging decisions.

We are proud to announce that in the last 2 months VPK Group received three new EcoVadis Platinum certificates for our sites in Romania, Belgium and Poland. This extends our previous Platinum certification for France. This top performance highlights the daily commitment of our teams to embed sustainability in every aspect of our business.

VPK Group delivered solid performance in 2023. Thanks to our integrated business model, diverse product portfolio and strong customer base, we adapted agilely to market dynamics and strategically invested in projects to support future growth.

VPK Group announces its joint venture with IEMME srl, an Italian corrugated cardboard company based in Gambolò, near Milan. With this second step in Italy,VPK Group further diversifies its product portfolio and strengthens its local presence.

Dendermonde will soon be getting some of its heat from a heating network. Some of the city’s heating will be coming from a newly constructed green energy power station, which will also supply energy to VPK. By 2030 the paper and cardboard manufacturer wants to get rid of its existing power station, and is working with the Province and the city to build a sustainable future under the banner of‘Warm Dendermonde’.

VPK Group reached an agreement to acquire a minority share in Ribble, the UK corrugated cardboard company specialising in fanfold. A strategic step towards a future expansion of VPK Group's fit2size® product offering and geographical coverage.
